• The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

I would like to create a webmail subdomain but webmail.<domain> is reservered for horde. We do not use horde at all. Is there a way to disable or remove it so you can create webmail subdomains?

Thanks

To disable the horde webmail client you can edit the following file:

/etc/httpd/conf.d/zz010_psa_httpd.conf

Either remove or comment the following lines:

<VirtualHost \
IP_1:80 \
IP_2:80 \
IP_3:80 \
IP_4:80 \
>
DocumentRoot /usr/share/psa-horde/
Alias /horde/ /usr/share/psa-horde/
Alias /imp/ /usr/share/psa-horde/imp/
ServerName webmail
ServerAlias webmail.*
UseCanonicalName Off
<Directory /usr/share/psa-horde>
<IfModule sapi_apache2.c>
php_admin_flag engine on
php_admin_flag magic_quotes_gpc off
php_admin_flag safe_mode off
php_admin_value open_basedir "/usr/share/psa-horde:/etc/psa-horde:/etc/psa:/tmp:/var/tmp:/var/log/psa
-horde:/usr/share/doc:/usr/share/psa-pear"
php_admin_value include_path "/usr/share/psa-horde:/usr/share/psa-pear:."
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_php5.c>
php_admin_flag engine on
php_admin_flag magic_quotes_gpc off
php_admin_flag safe_mode off
php_admin_value open_basedir "/usr/share/psa-horde:/etc/psa-horde:/etc/psa:/tmp:/var/tmp:/var/log/psa
-horde:/usr/share/doc:/usr/share/psa-pear"
php_admin_value include_path "/usr/share/psa-horde:/usr/share/psa-horde/lib:/usr/share/psa-pear:."
</IfModule>
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
</VirtualHost>

Thanks for the suggestion but that will not work as when any change is made to a domain on the server (adding, removing, disabling, etc) that file is then recreated by plesk and those changes will be overwritten. Any other ideas? Thanks
