• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Question Creating subscriptions with domains on Cloudflare

Denis Gomes Franco

Regular Pleskian
Hi,
Here's a quick feedback. All my customers' domains are routed through Cloudflare, so I don't use the DNS functions of Plesk. Whenever I create a subscription Plesk throws a warning:

Warning: The domain xxx.tld does not resolve or resolves to another IP address (x.x.x.x). Please correct DNS settings.

No big deal of course, it works just fine as I ignore this warning. The DNS entries for the domain are already pointing to the Plesk server but when adding the subscription Plesk can only see Cloudflare's IPs, and that's by design since Cloudflare is meant to protect your server.

By the way, this does not cause any interference when adding a Let's Encrypt certificate. I've seen some people in this forum having difficulty adding a LE certificate while using Cloudflare, but it works for me just fine.

Hey IgorG, I looked at that extension but it seems that it would create a Cloudflare account for every customer/subscription that I have. Currently I have all domains under *my* Cloudflare account.

Please note that I am not a conventional hoster. I'm more of a web agency that provides everything in one package so that the customer can have a website and not worry about any technical details at all.
