Issue Cron (!?) Script takes way too long to complete

I see the following script, probably from cron, taking way too long to complete (now at 106206 seconds):

Bash: 
opt/psa/admin/plib/modules/joomla-toolkit/scripts/auto-update.php

Is there a way to debug and/or stop it?
