Hi,

I want to upload a customer header for some of the templates when building a site but how do I know how big the default one is. Is there a way to get the original so I can just edit that one?

I'm on a managed VPS so dont have access to the files.

Thanks

First of all, note, the maximum allowed dimensions of a custom banner are 1024x350 px. The supported file formats are *.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif, *.png.
As for source head banner images you can get it using the following way. Leave default banner on the page. Load site preview and save image (head banner image) as soon as preview page is loaded.
Hope it helps.

Hi,

Yes thats how I get the banners but if I save one and resize to be under the dimensions you say sometimes it wont accept it when I re upload. I have to make the no biiger than the one I download but the banners arent consistant. By that I mean one design I may download a banner and it says 500x300 for example. I download another and its 100x300 but when I try to upload it doesnt accept if I make then bigger but they are still smaller then the size u mention and they are JPG

Thanks

Yes, you are right, all templates has it's own limits for head banner uploading (but it should be not more than 1024x350 px.).
This situation was passed to developers and documentation team. So it should be corrected in next updates to avoid confusions.

The problem is though that if youdownload a banner of say 500x300 and try to upload one to replace it and its 501x300 it doesnt upload but there is no message, nothing. I also have issues if I upload a custom banner and call it for example sample.jpg and then make a change locally and try and re upload. Sometimes I have to changes designs and swap back before it will take my banner again. It maybe related to the fact it has the same name but no messages are even put out on screen so I've no way of knowing whats going on.

Thanks

Could you provide me step-by-step instructions for reproducing at least one of the issues? I tried to upload, re-upload banners and it looks good. Just give me exact template name and actions which I should apply. If situation is reproducible I will pass it to developers for investigation.
