• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Dedicated IP in domain aliases

corianito

New Pleskian
Hello!

Forgive my English, I use google translator since I am Spanish.

I encounter a problem, I need a domain alias to have a dedicated IP, I need it for the prestashop multi-store.

In plesk I get the following:

The web hosting for this domain has been configured in IP address ****

How can I change that ip?

Thank you very much!

You can't change IP for domain alias. You can change IP for domain only. Just go to Web Hosting Access and change IP address in drop-down menu.

Yes, the domain ip if it was done, which I could not find the way to do it in a domain alias.

It is a problem that we can not change the ip of the alias, I will open a function request.

Thank you very much for your answer!

Alias is just additional domain name that would point to the IP of a different domain. So it can't have own IP by design.

Do you know any other way to point it to the same directory as the main domain and can give you the IP address?
