Disabling IPv6

dedisoft

New Pleskian
Hi,

Nginx is listening on port 7080 with ipv6 protocol only.

ipv6 isn't use on the server (ipv4 only).

If I disable ipv6 support on the server, is this stopping nginx to use ipv6 ? (and some other process)

How can I disable IPv6 on Plesk 12 ?

Thanks

Hi dedisoft and Peter12,

enabling or disabling ipv6 support on your server is not configured by Plesk itself in the first place - Plesk just parses the operating system configurations and afterwards defines related configurations.
Please be sure to provide your operating system in the first place, to get some specific suggestions for your question how to enable or disable ipv6 - support.

After enabling or disabling ipv6 - support on your server, always make sure to re-run:

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all

Hi UFHH01,

I am using CentOS release 6.5 (Final) with Parallels Plesk V12. My
first option is just to reconfigure the systems so that the keep alive
polls and wget requests are done via ipv4.

After a reboot it went from ipv4 to ipv6, I made some changes to
tools & settings > ip addresses and it went from ipv6 to loopback
127..0.0.1

But I can’t get it back to using my server’s ipv4 address. So second
Option if all fails to disable ipv6 (first option preferable).

Kind regards
PeterHuk
