Resolved Disk space issue with big files in /tmp/analytics

David Shapes

New Pleskian
Hello,

I have a Linux server up and running with Plesk 17.5.3 (last update on 18th of September).
The server has been runnig great for a while, but I have been experiencing a weird issue since 3 days.

Health monitor sent me a warning of low disk space.

df -h gives me:

I noticed a huge file that must be causing my issue in /tmp/analytics 3 days ago, only one file in the folder.
Today I have 3 files in that folder, system seems to create one each night:
~tmp-1537660818.7487tar.tar : 11G
~tmp-1537747210.659tar.tar : 6,5M
~tmp-1537833608.7409tar.tar : 2G

I do not know what these files are for..?
Can I safely delete them?
Should they not delete themselves?

Any help would be really appreciated here as the server is now 94.4% full with 13G in /tmp/analytics.

Best regards,
David

/tmp/analytics is not Plesk related directory. I suppose that you can delete it.
Also I can recommend you click "Detect Hardware Changes" button in Health Monitor for recalculating disk space.

Hi, I was wondering if this was Linux or Plesk related indeed, thanks for the info!
I should be able to safely delete those files but it's kind of scary..
As this is not Plesk related, I think I should close this thread.
Best regards,
David
