• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Disk Space Quota and Limits - Confused

Hi

I am marginally confused. When setting up a domain for hosting under 7.5.4, you can set the following disk space quota allowances:

Under limits you can set Disk Space
Under hosting setup you can set Hard Disk Quota
Under Limits you can also set the number of mail boxes allowed and the maximum mail quota.

My question is, how do these apply to each other?

Basically I want to set up a domain with the following settings:
400Mb space for web pages
15 mailboxes with a maximum size of 100mb each
That is a total of 1900Mb

Which numbers go where? or does it not work like that?

Thanks in advance!

400MB hard limit
100MB mail quota
1900MB diskspace

The diskspace isn't enforced, but Plesk can email you to say a user exceeded it, and can alert an external billing system. Hard limit and mail quota are hard limits which cannot be exceeded.

Thanks cranky. So let me just clarify.

I set the hard disk limit under the limits menu to 400Mb for the web hosting side
I set the mail box quota size to 100Mb (this applies that setting to each mailbox)
Under hosting setup I allocate the maximum disk space required for both hosting and mail (I assume this covers databases, logs etc?)

Thanks! :)
