heya guys, im prob asking the impossible here, but i need a way to use a domain which is hosted on my plesk server to forward one of its subdomains to another address, not just an IP, check out information below to kinda understand what im talking about !

Domain www.domainname.co.uk (Hosted fine where it is)

Subdomain http://subdomain.domainname.co.uk (need this to forward to http://anotherdomain.co.uk/subdomain)

see my problem... lol, the /subdomain is kinda important too !

Any ideas !

Is this because you cannot set another IP for the subdomain host vs the main host within the PSA DNS server? Or you're looking for an HTTP redirect rule from the web server to the other site?

Either way should be an easy problem to fix. If its the DNS server that does not allow you to change the subdomain's IP from that of the main A record because the PSA interface does not let you, I'd say you need to hit the command line and make the change to the DNS zone file directly. I do not know for sure if this happens as I run my DNS independently from my PSA environment.

If you need a redirect rule and how to for Apache, I can help you with that as well.

Thanks,
James
