• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

dns zone transfer prob

I'm trying to get my plesk windows server to act as a slave to my plesk linux server and vice versa but I am running into a prob.

The Win2k3 server pulls the slave zone files over from the linux box fine, but the linux server doesn't. In the log file I get:

Jan 23 14:53:43 www2 named[16029]: transfer of 'mydomain.com/IN' from x.x.x.x#53: failed while receiving responses: permission denied
Jan 23 14:53:43 www2 named[16029]: transfer of mydomain/IN' from x.x.x.x#53: end of transfer

Everything looks fine on the Win2k3 server, I'm not sure why it's denying the transfers. The misc table in the psa database shows the correct info and I verified that it's updating the named.conf file upon reload to. The event viewer on the Win2k3 server doesn't say much more than a similar transfer denied message.

Can someone please help?

Thanks,
