  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Do I need these ports open?

I recently had a security firm scan my server. Supposedly I have two ports open that the firm says are creating vulnerabilities. One is Port 32769, which it says is running 'fam' server detection. The other is 32768, which it says is running Statd Service.

Can someone tell me if I need these open or not? I can use PSA's new firewall module to close them to the outside if needed.

Thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You don't need those services started, you can shutdown it or firewall them.

Also, you should to internal check of the server...

Good luck...
