  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question domain alias and wildcard ssl certificate

Hi,

i have a domain: example.tld and a subdomain test.example.tld
I have setup a domain alias example2.tld for example.tld. without 301 redirect.

If i open example2.tld in the browser it shows me the same webpage as example.tld. Thats great!

I have installed the free lets encrypt certificate for example.tld and also checked the domain alias example2.tld. I have selected a wildcard certificate to ensure subdomain.example.tld works the same way.

The certificate was installed successfully. But:

- If i open https://example.tld -> OK
- If i open https://example2.tld -> OK
- If i open https://subdomain.example.tld -> OK
- If i open https://subdomain.example2.tld -> NO CERTIFIATE FOUND

It looks like the certificate is only installed for the primary domain alias but not for a wildcard like subdomain.example2.tld

How i can i get a correct certificate?
