• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Domain Alias on Dedicated IP not working...

I have a domain setup on a dedicated IP. I want to add an alias.

so www.domain.com is the main domain.

I add alias.com to this.

It appears to create all of the DNS records, however when I try to hit alias.com, all I get is the default PLESK page.

Domain alias works fine for shared IP accounts. Except that sub-domains do not work.

If I have sub.domain.com, I have never been able to hit sub.alias.com.

I guess this is just a screwed up "feature" in PLESK.

Interestingly enough, the primary domain aliasing started working after I manually changed the DNS.

Sub-domain aliasing does not work at all. Have tried a number of ways to configure - all the way to setting specific A and CNAME records - no luck. It sucks being the ONLY person who has these types of issues - but I see it's at least consistent with others on these forums!;)
