domain alias vs forwarding and email

I'm new and coming over from an Ensim box where it was simple to add domain aliases.

On Plesk I can do it no problem, but emails to aliases/forwards don't work in plesk by the default setting.

IE:

www.domainname.com

www.domainnamealternative.com (alias / forward)

An email to name@domainnamealternative.com in ensim went to the box on the real domain at www.domainname.com

How can I do this in plesk?

I'd be interested in hearing some of your other tales with switching from Ensim to Plesk. My data center stopped supporting Ensim, which I liked very much. Now, I'm stuck working with Plesk. Don't get me wrong, Plesk is nice and can do lots of things. However, there are a number of issues that I've had with the conversion.
