Domain not avaliable after adding new subdomain and copying across files

Kate Ross

New Pleskian
This is now resolved. Thank you

Hi, I am an amateur and having a serious problem today. I have tried to contact my webdeveloper but no reply. I have looked online but everything is very development heavy with code/FTP/CMD etc which I don't understand. If anyone could help in simple terms, I would really appreciate it.

I was trying to take a copy of my live site and copy it to a new test site (subdomain) so I could work on it. But now neither my dev (dev.*.co.uk)or my live site (*.co.uk) are being recognised i.e. domain not available other than in Plesk control panel. When I browse to them or edit them with Wordpress.org I get a 00 internal server error. I assume that the problem is in plesk somewhere.

The steps I have taken that led to this are:

· Back up of both sites via Wordpress using Updraft.
· Creation of new subdomain on plesk called test.*.co.uk (since deleted.)
· Copy successfulfitness.co.uk files to this new domain using plesk
· Now error 500 internal serve when trying to access any SF sites.

I have since

· Renamed and updated the .htaccess file based on google advice in live site.
· Deleted the new test subdomain and files
· Suspended dev.successfulfitness.co.uk in case there is a clash somewhere.

None of this is working. Can anyone help me please?

Thank you.

Kate
