Domain problems in 8.1

Ever since we upgraded to 8.1 we have been facing nothing but all sort of problems and just getting to them 1 by 1.

1) At this time now no domain user can view site traffic information from webalizer when click on report and go to webstat input username and password get a forbidden error message

2) After adding domain setting up name server etc when visit domain by typing in the browser domain.co, it takes u to the domain and show the files it suppose to but when go to www.domain.com it takes you to plesk default page and not the original plesk default page.

If you see this page it means:

hosting for this domain is not configured
or
there's no such domain registered in Plesk

However there is such domain on the box and the hosting is configured.

Any idea?

What Plesk version did you upgrade?

well we followed the provided instructions we upgraded a fresh 7.6 box to 8.0 i think it was then update to 8.1 the backup was taken from 7.6 and restore to 8.1

Please note there is 2 seperate issue listed, we never had none of these issue in 7.6, all the domains that were added in 7.6 and restore they work fine with the www.domain.com and just domain.com all the ones added in 8.1 they dont work with www.domain.com only domain.com www.domain.com takes you to plesk default page.

The webalizer issue wasn't there is 7.6 but now we notice it in 8.1

This forum is very lacking support from plesk staff i see threads sits here for days no respond at all and seem the same with this one no respond.

Please check host header www.domain.com in IIS and be sure option "WWW" is checked for this domain.

There is no option to enable www for the domain in IIS also you either ignore or miss the second issue with webalizer and now we are having perl.exe eating up cpu 100% however we discover its cause by mailenable transfer agent but everything we try still the same still eating up 100% cpu.


PS: in IIS the domains added in plesk 7.6 seem to have the same settings as the one now added in 8.1 nothing different.

You must run reconfigurator\Repaire Plesk installation\Plesk Virtual Host Security.

It looks wrong host header names in IIS administration settings for default domain for me.

1) What can be done about this perl.exe consuming 98% of cpu this only drop when mailenable transfer agent is stop and this obviously needs to be running for emails to go through.


2) We tried running plesk re configurator several times which does not resolve any of the issues we have including webalizer and after error document has been customize it does not show up when checking a broken link via browser.

3) We examined the default site properties and as well as sites that were added in 7.6 and sites now added in 8.1 however the settings seems to be same / consistent however the problem still remain not being able to access domain via www.domain.com only able to by domain.com

Sorry, but nobody could understand what happen with so a few information. Ask support please. About 98% cpu loading by perl, it looks as SA works.

Don't understand what your saying either but all the problems as described is still there, i doubt its issue with sysem because we been using this system with 7.6 no problem.

if this information may help make a difference the OS is W2k3 standard edition P4 2.4 GHZ plesk 8.1

We finally resolved the perl.exe issue thats hogging the cpu but the other 2 issue is still there, the issue with webalizer and the issue with www.domains.com
