Domian Alias and htaccess file

Rob Hannaford

New Pleskian
Hi there.

I'm actually creating a multi-store using magento but the part I'm trying to sort is directly related to Plesk 12.

What I have done is created a domain alias e.g.domain2.co.uk of a primary domain e.g.domain1.co.uk

In domain1.co.uk httpdocs folder I have a htaccess file which does get read and processed by primary domain.

However if I go to domain2.co.uk it never sees this file and I get a "this site can't be reached" error even though both domain names are registered and pointing to the same IP.

I have proved this is the case by putting some spurious text at the top of the htaccess file and I get the expected error with domain1 but not with domain2.

Please note I am new to the server stuff so please be gentle :D
