  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How do I allow my customers to have values such as an "account balance" or to keep track of their favorite color (for example) or something, by using the "Registration" page insert in the plesk site builder? I just want to be able to make it so that users can update their content. I don't know how to make their accounts have things on them. Thanks for the help

Are you talking about Registration module? If so, probably there is some misunderstanding exists. Please check following information about Registration module:

You can set up voluntary user registration on your web site. This function has nothing to do with restricted access. Logged in users do not have to enter their name, address, and other data each time they fill a form on the site - this data is automatically inserted into the appropriate text fields of the form (for example, when posting to blog or buying in e-shop).

Note: To prevent automated registration, users will be required to enter a confirmation code to be able to register on your site. For more information it is better to check appropriate documentation part:

Well, its about time someone wrote about this besides me. The registration module is a toy and basically useless for anything. You can't link to any variables. Who ever thought of adding it was probably just trying to create 'fluff' for Plesk Sitebuilder. The registration module will only store data if you go into Sitebuilder admin and view it from there, example: <domain>:2006
The data isn't even stored in the SQL server from what I understand so even if you could access the internal variables the possibility of the data getting lost in a backup/restore, rebuild, reconfig, etc is always there. The data I think is stored simply in an Access(tm) style database.

If you find any working 'hidden' variables can you post them? I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for SwSoft, now Parallels, to release Sitebuilder version 5, for oh, about a year now. It was supposed to be released, I thought, sometime in the 1st or 2nd fiscal year of 2009. We're at the 4th fiscal year of 2009 now. I'm trying and trying hoping that anyday now they'll release Sitebuilder verison 5. I've been putting off upgrading our Plesk 8.x servers to Plesk 9 in hopes that we can do the full upgrade of both packages, Plesk CP and Plesk SB.

Again, if you find anything out can you please post or email me?
Thanks and good luck,
Dave.
