Resolved Dovecot -LDA Killing My Server

GregoryRasputin

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.47 Update #5
For the past couple of weeks my websites have been dropping connection, I installed 360 monitoring and keep getting this message:
cpu .usage higher 75 - currently: 100

So I used the "top" command to see what was consuming the CPU and it seems to be user "popuser" with command "dovecot-lda".
Not sure how to fix this.

It also might be worth checking your maillog and look for any entries that are out of the ordinary.

You can access the maillog via Plesk via Tools & Settings > Log Browser. Or via SSH at /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog

Thanks for the replies.

Seems the problem was I had a port blocked on my Firewall. there were about 50,000 emails in the queue, fixed the port and emptied the queue as well as limiting the amount of emails sent hourly, seems to have fixed the problem.
