Question Emailing customers about WordPress updates

zigojacko

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
CentOs 7
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.48
In order for Plesk to email the Customer via the WordPress Toolkit about core/plugin updates etc, does the Mail Service have to be activated on the domain?

Because currently, the Mail Service is not activated and all the Plesk WordPress emails are being rejected with an Undelivered Mail, Returned to Sender notice (Customer email is with Gmail). There is already an SPF record TXT record set up for this but I doubt it is even doing anything if the Mail Service is not activated?

If the mails of those domains are not local then the mail service for those domains must be turned off. You say that this is already the case for your domains so it's highly probable that your mails to gmail were rejected for some reasons.

Could you please post the non-delivery report you have received?
