error in fstab - box doesn't boot

Trying to secure the /tmp partition, I saved wrong settings in fstab. Now the box won't boot.

Any ideas how I could boot it to get access to fstab and correct the error?

Do you have local access to the machine? If so, using a linux boot disk and booting as "linux rescue" (for red hat at least) will get things going I think?

Faris.
