• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

New Pleskian
Whenever I am trying to take backup through Parallels Plesk (Plesk version:12.0.18 Update #53) getting an error "Error: Insufficient disk space for backup. "

Default backup location is '/var/lib/psa/dumps' with enough space (Near 1TB). Then why showing above error message? Please help me to solve this issue and moreover I am not an advanced linux master.

Do you have any cronjobs with build big logs?
How come there is 1 big backup?

Would it be an option to remove that 8GB backup you created and restart with a complete new backup sequence. For example through the Plesk Backup Manager. In Tools & Settings there you can find Backup Manager and if you go to More Settings. There you find Scheduled Backup Settings. There you could setup a "Maximum number of backups in the repository".

Hi Noturns,

I hosted around 12 websites and I took 8gb backup in manual mode 2 weeks back.
I think I dont have any cronjobs running with big logs. How I can trace it?

Hi Noturns,

I tried as per the instructions in the above post. But still showing the same error Error: Insufficient disk space for backup.
Is any other way to track this issue?

Hi Noturns

I checked, nothing special there. I searched for 100MB+ size, results showing only my website files, i uploaded through FTP. So that part is clear. What about any kind of lock files or the old remainings or like that?

Here is my error log

Finally I added
"# Required free disk space (Mb) to perform backup operation
FREE_DISK_SPACE 20"
into /usr/local/psa/admin/share/pmmcli/pmmcli-rc and Backup is running now.

Any one have the latest file backup for /usr/local/psa/admin/share/pmmcli/pmmcli-rc? (CentOS7 with Plesk12)

I hope this one will work fine. If any one have Plesk 12 version file of '/usr/local/psa/admin/share/pmmcli/pmmcli-rc', please share.
