    When I try to start the postfix SMTP service, I get this error along with enormous CPU overload:

    ERROR: PleskUtilException
    Up Level
    mailmng failed: Starting postfix: [ OK ]
    0: Manager.php:165
    mail_Manager::execWithException(string 'smart_exec', string 'mailmng', array, array, string 'lst')
    1: Manager.php:220
    mail_Manager->callMailManager(string 'start-service', array)
    2: Manager.php:488
    mail_Manager->smtpControl(string 'start')
    3: class.ServiceControl.php:441
    ServiceControl->action()
    4: restart_services.php:22
    require(string '/usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/server/restart_services.php')
    5: plesk.php:61

    Further: postfix status shows master is stopped. I cannot restart services, although I can stop and then start. Postfix check is [ok] but status shows master is stopped. Mail server is off.

    Thank you!

    Thank you Igor. The page you sent me was just what I needed at that time. However, due to circumstances, I had to anyway upgrade my CentOS to 6 and I took the opportunity to reinstall Plesk. But your link is very valuable and I wish I had known about it before!
