Having discovered that I need to install bind in order to specify DNS recoreds I now have the following problem.
Following the instructions outline here

when I go to add a TXT record the form looks like this
I note that the domain name is absent from my form, and it should look like this
When I click OK I get an error Incorrect DNS record values were specified
Explicitly specifying the domain name makes no difference, putting different SFP strings makes no difference, in fact if I enter an invalid SPF string I get an error on the form, so it not the string.
Clearly something is missing after the installation of bind, has anyone any ideas how to fix this
