Was reviewing my logs, and this scrolled:

    Jan 31 05:15:17 server imapd-ssl: 1138702517.97866 LOGOUT, ip=[], rcvd=12, sent=310, maildir=/etc/rc.d/init.d
    Jan 31 05:15:17 server imapd: Connection, ip=[]
    Jan 31 05:15:17 server imapd: 1138702517.103341 LOGOUT, ip=[], rcvd=12, sent=308, maildir=/etc/rc.d/init.d

Any idea why /etc/rc.d/init.d would be a mail directory?

I would love to know the answer to this as well. It still happens even in 10.x
