  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Export/import of site with forwarding uses 2 IP addresses

RationalPolymer

Basic Pleskian
When backing up via Panel one or more sites where they contain a "forwarding subsite" for Plesk Panel-12.0.18 server A and then importing/restoring those site backups into Panel-12.0.18 server B, the import/restore process displays and requires confirmation on 2 IP addresses: the hosted site IP and the server main/primary IP from Panel server A. I understand and know how to deal with the site IP during import/restore but don't understand why there is a 2nd IP based on the Panel server A main/primary IP address.

In the site+forwarding INFO XML (site backup) file there are two "<ip>" declarations. In a site with NO forwarding there is only one "<ip>" declaration. Why?

Also, the net affect of this is that the site+forwarding restoration creates a "webspace" plus a "subscription" when the site originally was a single "subscription".
