Issue f2bmng failed: Service fail2ban doesn't exists

Rafa ME

New Pleskian
I use Fail2ban for a couple of years ago. I need it as breathing, I receive hundreds of attacks per second in my server :(.

This night the service failed. There was no way to start, and eventually tried to uninstall it, then reinstall it from the web service. Then, I took hours following tutorials and solutions found in this forum, or the official help of Plesk, without success. The errors giving me are:

If I try to activate the service in the config tab:

"Error: No se ha podido guardar la configuración: f2bmng failed: Service fail2ban doesn't exists

Usage: register_service [--enable|--disable] service

Enable or disable specified service
ERROR:f2bmng:Command '['/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/register_service', '--enable', 'fail2ban']' returned non-zero exit status 1"

The other tab where I can navigate is "Jaiils", the others gives me this error:

"Internal error: f2bmng failed: ERROR:f2bmng:No section: 'Definition'"

Solutions what I tested without success:

And many more other solutions from other sites, without success. It's as if the service does not exist, or can not be run. I am very afraid of having my server unprotected, I took more than eight hours from 22:00... :((( Thank you very much for the help.

After 16 hours of testing and lot more of testing ... I managed to get it working again . How? Trying different variations when installing / reinstalling, deleting folders with care, etc...
I could not explain the procedure :(. The installation was corrupted and unrecoverable.
