• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
    Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Fail2ban with geoiplookup

EnriqueR

Regular Pleskian
The system fail2ban installed with Plesk is perfect for ban injections, but the stored IP hardly gives any information. Is there a way to activate geoiplookup to display additional information about the banned IP?

It would be great to enable. A perfect tool.

Other way: use "sendmail-whois" function, to generate the info in all mails signaling a banned IP.

To do so, first check that the "whois" function is installed on your server.
Then create the following file:
/etc/fail2ban/action.d/sendmail-whois.conf

# Fail2Ban configuration file

before = sendmail-common.conf

Finally, in all your jails, replace the "sendmail" command by "sendmail-whois".
