• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Firewall and Windows Server 2003 Standard

Hi Y'all,

I followed the instructions on how to set the Routing and Remote Access (thank you Neij)

http://www.bganet.org/rras/rrassetup.htm

I completed these steps and somehow the server got crashed, needed assistance from tech support to reboot the machine.
It came back up with no problems.

However, I'm not sure the firewall is working at all as for instance, I did not config port 8443 to be open, and I'm able to access it with no problems.

Also, the basic firewall is to my understanding exactly it! basic.
Could someone propose a real commercial paid or free for firewall software that will do a more rigorous check and will actually defend the server?

Thanks for the input,

-Alon.
