firewall configuration from command line

Hi,

I have Plesk version 12.0.18 and I would like to configure the firewall. Actually, ban some specific ip address from all ports. How is it possible to do it through command line?

Plesk has firewall v.1.0 extension installed and I can ban any ip address through the GUI. However, I'm trying to create a script that automatically bans specific ip addresses, but at the same time I would like whatever I do through command line to be reflected on the GUI. How is that possible?

Hi, unfortunately at the moment we don't have command line for the built-in firewall module. Until next version you can only use direct iptables calls for command line management. They won't be reflected in GUI.

Starting next version it will be possible to manage firewall in command line

The version number is not yet defined. Somewhere in H2 2015.

Symeon if you don't feel like waiting take a look at our firewall product for Plesk. It has both a firewall and login failure daemon with a GUI in Plesk and a CLI interface. It probably already handles what you are trying to do right out of the box.
