• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi All,

We are running FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p2 and we would like to upgrade our MySQL installation from 4.1.22 to 5.

I'm just getting to grips with ports collection and portupdate but I'm not sure if that's the root I should be going down to upgrade MySQL?

Should I run a clean installation of MySQL 5 from the ports collection or is there some way of upgrading from MySQL4 to MySQL5?

Is it as simple as "portupgrade -o databases/mysql51-server mysql-server"??

Thanks in advance, this is all new to me!

Andy
