• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

FTP Firewall Windows 2003 SP2

After installing the latest Windows 2003 updates (Service Pack 2?) the FTP server for all my clients is being blocked by the firewall. Connections are established but then immediately closed by the firewall. The firewall rules as set in Plesk control panel are all OK and should be allowing FTP.

The only way I can get FTP running is to switch the firewall off.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem! Any update to this question?! Thanks

The solution from swf support was as folows:

On the server go to control panel/windows firewall. Click the Exceptions tag and add an exception for port 21 +/- port 20. Click the Advanced tab and select the relevant Network connection and click settings. Uncheck the FTP server under services.

Seems weird but the FTP server must be UNchecked in the advanced settings.
