• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

FTP User Prefix for Domains and Subdomains

Hi there.

I really hope you can help me.

I'd like to enable a static prefix for FTP Users which clients can create when setting up a domain or subdomain.

The problem is, that clients which already for example created a subdomain named test and also created for that an FTP User named test blocked with that the global test user.

I mean, if another client would create on another domain a subdomain also named test and again for that an FTP User named test, an error message pops up and tells him, its already in use.

Thats sick, because i don't think a client want to read that another client already blocked his FTP Username.

Also there will be the problem, that any client would so be able to create a whole range of FTP Users that no other client can use then.

I already found the solution to activate this option for MySQL Users and Databases and thats great, but what about FTP?

Thanks for your help.

Regards, Pascal
