Issue grep: /etc/my.cnf: No such file or directory

Hi there.
We have a huge problem since the last night and are unable to lgin to plesk cause mysql service is not running and unable to start. also plesk repair wont work.
Error: DB query failed: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory
The my.cnf is present when i login via sftp and i can see ti, but no idea what happend. We did not do any changes.

Any idea would be very, very helpful.
