Issue HELP: Plesk repair no such file or directory

We can not access plesk.
Server Error
500
Zend_Db_Adapter_Exception
SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory

But plesk repair does not work also..

plesk repair leads to "SQLSTATE [HY000] [2002] No such file or directory"

We can not start database server, mail server is working...

What can we do??? We need your help....

One resolution has something to do with the "/etc/my.cnf"

But: the file is empty in my case... How can i restore files directories of plesk ... ?

plesk repair db -y

1. Connect to the server via SSH.
2. Find and comment out the following lines in /etc/mysql/my.cnf:
   

   log_bin = /var/log/mysql/mariadb-bin 
   log_bin_index = /var/log/mysql/mariadb-bin.inde 
   log_slow_verbosity = query_plan

   
   
3. Start MySQL:
   

   # systemctl start mysql

the my.cnf is empty.....

/var/log/mysql just contains error files with .gz nothing more...

Hello again boosterfan,

Try doing this:

1. Connect to the server via SSH
   
   
2. Edit file /etc/my.cnf and add one more empty line at the end:
   

# /etc/my.cnf
.......
!includedir /etc/my.cnf.d

# add new empty line here

Nothing changed.... Still "No such file or directory" when i try to repair...

It should help you to restore your mariadb/mysql settings, than you can run repair utility again.

service mysqld status

service mariadb status

mysql -V

what is the MYSQL_PWD is it the root ssh pw or plesk pw??

It's to login to the database:

cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow

MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -uadmin psa

but i never set a password for database...

It is automatically set by the system when installing / configuring the database service. It will be installed together with Plesk on the system.

How can i disable the plesk firewall? Each command i try i get error messages, but i can not access ssh so firewall is active...

so it is the plesk admin password? and DATABASE_NAME what is the name??

Your admin password is your admin password, and the password for the database is for the database.

These are to different things....
