Question How can a local backup be copied to an external FTP storage space?

Backup completed and fully available for restore from server space, but not uploaded to FTP storage space.

We are seeking a way to copy that local backup .tar to an external FTP storage space without recreating the backup/running a new backup. However, the solutions that are suggested in FAQ (e.g. find the backup_*.tar file) and previous forum entries don't work, because there is no single .tar file to copy but a wealth of many individual files. The backup logs do not reveal the file name of a local .tar that could be uploaded either.

why not use rsync to copy the map where all the files are in?

alternative you can tar the map with the individual files and upload that to ftp if rsync is not possible.

It is not clear what files belong to the backup set, how they are packed, how the tar needs to be named, how the signature is added to the tar-file(s) ...

There must be a function that moves a local server backup as a single .tar-file into an FTP-respository, just as it does if a backup is directed to an external storage space upon creation.

I have the same problem. What is missing are two features:
a) A cli command which enables the administrator to move file between local and FTP storage and
b) An implementation of the same feature as part of the control panel: When I select a local backup, I should also be offered the option to move or copy this backup to the remote location.
