• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question How can I restore a backup from server storage?

gregconway

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

With Plesk Onyx -

When I back up a subscription I have the option to back up to "Server storage in /var/lib/psa/dumps" as opposed to FTP storage.

I want to restore from that backup to another subscription. Is that possible? it seems there are no options within either the server backup or the individual subscription.

Thanks,

Greg.

Backup of subscription is assigned to subscription's name. Therefore you can't restore such kind of backup to subscription with another name.
If you need to restore this backup on another server - you just restore it with original name of subscription and then rename this subscription as you want.
If you need to restore this backup on the same server - you need manually extract databases, web content, etc. from this backup like from archive and adapt it to your new subscription.
