How do I upgrade to MySQL 5 with Plesk 8.0

My version of Plesk 8.0 came with MySQL 3.23 installed, but I need at least 4.2 and preferrably 5.0. Is it possible to do this?

Ive got mysql 4.1 rpms in my archive. 5.0 will break PSA at this time.

I have a rudimentary understanding of rpm, but I don't know how I get the package from your site and I don't know how to install it on my server. Could you elaborate on the process?

Just out of curiosity, what about MySQL 5 causes psa to break?

Add the [atomic] channel, and run "yum update".

Off the top of my head, you can't add mail users, or delete domains.

Plesk 8 is having the feature to allow multiple mysql servers. Isn't it possible to run two mysql servers on one system? Than you can have a standard mysql4 server and the extra mysql5 server on a different port.
Idea?

sure you can do that, just keep in mind that the 2 DB's will compete for resources.

I would love to replace MySQL 4.x with 5.x in Plesk... Has anyone try this?

Like Scott said, upgrading to MySQL 5.x breaks Plesk at the moment. So no, you can't.
