• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Hello

I try to have some answer about FTP plesk backup run.
- When we do an full backup, it's necesary to have +/- 50% of available space in local to stock temporal files?
- Incremental no need of temporal file? Just see the new files since last incremental sucessful backup?
- Assume that temporaly files are removed when backup sucessful transfering to FTP repository, it's true?
- When we need to restore an web, in case of server backup, plesk need to import ALL an full backup on local?

Hello most of your questions will be detailed answered in the Plesk docu: Backing Up and Restoring Websites
1. yes fullbackup need more tmp space
2. Incremental backups are created quicker and take up less disk space than full backups.
3. right removed after transfer
4. However, to restore an incremental backup, you must have the corresponding full backup and all previously created incremental backups available.

via cli you have some more options / flexability to do backups see: pleskbackup: Backing Up Content and Configuration
and with Plesk Onyx 17.8.x comes the cloud backup option available.

hope that helps you a bit..

For point 4, yes, but plesk need to import the full backup from FTP repository? In other word, it's always necesary have an 50% of free space on local to do some full backup o restore one web?

It would be an very great feature, the possibility to backup all domain for separate with an only command....
