How the user passwords are encrypted

Hello,

I am planning to programm an extra tool for my users to sent secure tickets.

Therefore I'd like to use a login that verify them agains the already existing passwords in the mysql_psa_account table.

I'have written an php file just to check if the encryption works correctly:

Code:
define('AES_128_CBC', 'aes-128-cbc');

$data = 'secrectpassword'
$ecryption_key = 'contentend /etc/psa/private/secret_key'
$encrypted = openssl_encrypt($data, AES_128_CBC, $encryption_key, 0);
echo "Encrypted: $encrypted\n";

So if I doublecheck the stored password in the mysql table againts my php file, they are diffrent.

Maybe some can help me out.

Thank you
Chris
