How to add AAAA records to existing domains

Is there anyway to support adding AAAA records in domains?

I found a search result but will anything like http://blog.experimentalworks.net/2009/01/ipv6-aaaa-records-with-plesk-the-hackish-way/ break plesk, particularily with upgrades and backup / restore?

I have recommended it many times and not heard about problems after adding these additional records to database.
