How to establish the MySQL database connection from my Java application?

Hi,

I am user, trying to host my Java application using PLESK. I have some set of questions.

Note: I have successfully deployed a .war file (java application) and created a database & an user id of it.

1. Is there any public user id and password to establish the connection with my database from Java? (like, the PLESK administrative user_id and password).

2. Does the database user id has GRANT privilege?

My java application throws the following exception, If I use my own user id and password, that I created with own database.

java.sql.SQLException: Unable to connect to any hosts due to exception: java.net.SocketException: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission xx.xxx.xx.x:3306 connect, resolve)

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Ramesh

Hi wagnerch,

I am sorry, I missed to add this, the Tomcat and Datbase server's are controlled by the web hosting people.
I will check with them and get it done.

Thank you very much..
Ramesh.
