  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question How to optimize Plesk for good server hardware?

tomtom1985

New Pleskian
Hello,
I am running a server with 128GB RAM and a 12 core Xeon CPU. However I feel, that my server is somehow still not making the best out of its ressources. Especially when it comes to many simulataneous users I think that it cant be the optimum for the server.

Are there any predefined global settings for Plesk that can be used based on the server's hardware? I would be happy to receive any recommendations on where I can find some useful information, pre-configured settings or maybe a kind of settings wizard that will generate a good configuration based on my submitted information.

Note that Plesk comes with some default performance settings that are suitable for most different hardware configurations. Tuning performance settings for different components like MySQL, webserver, caching, etc is not the trivial task. This is task for experienced Linux administrator. I can give you this KB article with common recommendations - How to adjust the server performance?
An article can be a starting point for you in this exciting process of setting maximum performance :)
