• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to pipe emails to nonexistent mail users to a script in Plesk

Hi

I need to be able to pipe e-mails into a script instead of just forwarding them to a catch-all email address.

In other words when I set up preferences for a domain in E-mail I want to put a command like

|/usr/bin/php ....; some script

instead of an e-mail address.

In the Plesk panel if you do that it will validate and say it is not a valid e-mail address.

In cPanel it is not a problem doing this

I just changed from a cPanel based server to a Plesk based server thinking that Plesk was a much better environment. However I have web applications that require this ability.

Has anyone done this or does any one have an idea as to how this can be done.

Thanks

John

sure you can do that, you'd just stick that into the users .qmail file. You can automate the process through the event manager too.

This is exactly the problem I am having. However, I can't understand the 'solution'.
I have searched my webspace & can't find any .qmail file nor do I have an Event Manager?

Can anyone explain to someone who is NOT a Linux guru, how to pipe to PHP in Plesk?
I have asked my host providers & they replied:
"...We don't help with coding it's against policy. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Thank you and have a great day..."
