• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Resolved How to update OpenSSL on centos 6

Inuya5ha

New Pleskian
I cannot upgrade to openssl 1.0.2 because the yum update openssl command returns No Packages marked for Update.

In order to use HTTP2, openssl 1.0.2 is required. Any ideas how can I upgrade it without breaking anything? There is no KB article on this issue in the Plesk site. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I see that Plesk 17 includes a newer openssl. What are the chances of success when auto-updating from Plesk 12.5.30 to version 17?

Hi Inuya5ha,

you are able to follow tutorials like

... where the author describes exactly, how to upgrade your openssl version on CentOS 6 / CentOS 7. Pls. be carefull with your steps and use the tutorial as reference, but be aware, that the actual version may differ. ;)

You should be informed, that you do these steps on your own risk and without any support from Plesk.
