htaccess and htpasswd

Hi,

I am trying to move over a .htaccess and .htpasswd file from a Linux based server is this possible to get it to work in windows??

As this did not work I tried creating a user in Plesk and protecting the directory then I was planning to overwrite the .htaccess and .htpasswd files that Plesk created with mine. However I can't find them - where are they stored??

Any help on how I can move the old files over and get them to work on my new windows vps would be greatly aprecciated.
