Hi everyone,

I use WP Rocket Plugin, but the expires headers in .htaccess aren't being respected.

I'm using Apache reverse proxy to Nginx.

Proxy Mode : Enabled
Smart static files processing : Enabled
Serve static files directly by nginx: Disabled
Enable nginx caching: Enabled

Code:
# BEGIN WP Rocket v3.10.10
# Use UTF-8 encoding for anything served text/plain or text/html
AddDefaultCharset UTF-8
# Force UTF-8 for a number of file formats
<IfModule mod_mime.c>
AddCharset UTF-8 .atom .css .js .json .rss .vtt .xml
</IfModule>

# FileETag None is not enough for every server.
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header unset ETag
</IfModule>

# Since we’re sending far-future expires, we don’t need ETags for static content.
# developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html#etags
FileETag None

Any idea to solve this issue ?

Hi,

I'm having same issue.

I try this settings.

PHP : 8.2.6 FPM served by nginx

Proxy Mode : Enabled
Smart static files processing : Enabled
Serve static files directly by nginx: Enable
Enable nginx caching: Enabled
Bypass cache when
uncheck : HTTP no-cache headers are received in request
uncheck : GET nocache parameter is received in request

Additional nginx directives
location ~* \.(js|css|png|jpg|jpeg|gif|svg|ico|webP|ttf|woff2)$ {
expires 30d;
add_header Cache-Control "public, no-transform";
}

But i still have this results in gtmetrix and pagespeed tools :

nginx ignores htaccess, so when you got nginx as proxy for any kind of static files, e.g. jpeg, served by niginx the result for pagespeedinsights or similar tools will be a fail. Try for experience a stop of nginx for that subscription and look and feel and to get a clue what happend. I stopped to resolve it, my sites are faster with nginx as proxy and additional directives, even pagespeed do not show a cache time.
