• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

are there any drawacks to using https across the entire site? I'm running a standard community website with classifieds, biz directory, coupons, local web search, blogs, etc...

Thanks,
Daniel

there are no drawbacks as far as website performance and usage. If you are interested in PageRank from Google though, pagerank will not display using https

Thank you for the reply. This site is just a local thing, so hopefully the google pagerank won't affect me much. I'll have to rely on my good looks and charm (lol) to drive people to the site.

I chose to run the SSL and Non-SSL out of the same directory, so it is alot easier for me to just make the whole thing SSL, but wasn't sure if that would create any performance / security issues. Thanks!
