  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

  • There is no ICMP rule in Plesk Firewall under Tools&Settings.
  • As a result ICMP is denied by default.
  • Nagios simple ping monitoring from dedicated hosts is impossible.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Standard Plesk Obsidian instalation from January 2020
  2. All updates taken
  3. No specific modifications until today on the firewall
Result: when I started today, there were no ICMP rules in Firewall under Tools&Settings.

ACTUAL RESULT

Unable to proceed. Unable to enable ICMP 8/0

EXPECTED RESULT

ICMP rule in Plesk Firewall backend to enable ICMP 8/0 witht he ability to define hosts as origin
