• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Impossible to retrieve user password

frg62

Basic Pleskian
Hello,

I am having the same problem on 3 different servers, all up to date (Plesk 12.5.30 Update #48).

It is impossible to retrieve the password for any user, using in the get_password.php form.
The answer is invariably:
Error: Identification failed: invalid username or email address specified. Please try again.

Even when I create a new user (for testing purpose), it still won't recognize its credentials, when I type them in the form.

The only user that seems to be recognized there is admin, because the error message is then coherent:
Error: The administrator's password cannot be sent by email for security reasons. To view the current administrator's password, run the command: '/usr/local/psa/bin/admin --show-password'.

Any idea about what is going wrong?
